Il y a 31 ans, une catastrophe survenait à la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl. Le pays dans lequel tout s'est passé a disparu depuis longtemps, et la douleur unit encore les personnes qui ont souffert lors de la liquidation de l'accident, qui ont été contraintes de quitter les villes et les villages d'une zone appelée depuis plus de 30 ans la zone d'exclusion.
Alexander Vishnevsky est originaire de ces lieux, né dans le village d'Ilintsy. En 1986, il joue pour l'équipe de football de Pripyat. Le 26 avril, son « Constructeur » était censé organiser un match pour la Coupe de la région de Kiev, mais le match n'a jamais eu lieu. Aujourd'hui, Vishnevsky entraîne des garçons dans la ville de Slavutich, située à quelques kilomètres de Pripyat.
S’il y a encore de la vie à Tchernobyl, alors Pripyat est une ville fantôme. Les touristes sont amenés ici pour contempler un fragment d'un pays qui n'existe plus. Et ce fragment se trouve dans des fourrés impénétrables. Ce n'est qu'en levant la tête que vous pourrez voir les étages supérieurs des immeubles de grande hauteur au-dessus de la cime des arbres.
Quelque part dans une nature impénétrable se trouve le stade où Vishnevsky et son « Constructeur » étaient censés organiser ce match. Quelque part dans les fourrés, ses proches Ilyintsy sont empêtrés, que d'anciens résidents locaux trouvent presque au toucher. Alexandre s'y rend le 25 avril pour voir sa maison avec un poêle ; le jardin, désormais complètement sauvage ; inclinez-vous devant les tombes de vos proches.
Le parcours est familier. Ces jours-là – on les appelle jours du souvenir – l’entrée dans la zone d’exclusion est gratuite. Les proches viennent vers leurs cendres natales (et c'est vrai - de nombreux villages ont brûlé sans attention), vers les cercueils de leur père.
"Je viens de rentrer", raconte Alexandre Vishnevski, que le correspondant de RG a retrouvé à Slavutich, une autre ville satellite de la station de Tchernobyl, qui n'a heureusement pas partagé le sort de Pripyat. - J'y suis arrivé sans aucun problème. Désormais, les jours de commémoration, vous n'avez plus besoin de vous inscrire pour visiter la zone fermée. L'entrée est gratuite. Ils vous remettent simplement un laissez-passer au poste de contrôle, qui doit être restitué au moment du départ.
- Est-ce que beaucoup de gens de votre village natal y viennent ces jours-ci ?
De moins en moins. Ce sont surtout les enfants et les petits-enfants qui viennent, pas les parents. Cette fois, il y avait environ 100 personnes.
- Combien de personnes vivaient à Ilyintsy en 1986, lorsque la catastrophe s'est produite ?
Le village était grand. Environ un millier de personnes. Et peut-être plus.
Ceux que l'on appelle communément les auto-colons sont-ils restés à Ilyintsy ? C’est-à-dire les gens qui ont refusé de quitter les lieux après l’accident ?
Ils sont restés. Mais le dernier habitant local est décédé cette année. Oui, les gens vivaient, même si c'était une zone d'exclusion. Jusqu'à récemment, il y avait deux personnes. Mais l’année dernière, ma grand-mère est morte seule. Et voilà.
- Ont-ils reçu de la nourriture ?
Oui. Les gens travaillent dans la zone d'exclusion - les travailleurs postés. Ils ont apporté de la nourriture. Je ne sais pas, deux ou une fois par semaine...
Il y a plus de 30 ans, les gens d'ici ne pouvaient pas croire qu'ils devaient quitter leur foyer. Ils ne pouvaient pas voir comment le bétail était emmené. Ils ne pouvaient pas imaginer ce que ce serait de quitter définitivement leur foyer pour s’installer ailleurs, sans toutefois s’approcher à moins de 30 kilomètres de chez eux. C'était particulièrement dur pour les personnes âgées qui avaient vécu ici toute leur vie. C'est pourquoi beaucoup sont rentrés chez eux, malgré l'interdiction. Ils sont devenus ces mêmes colons autonomes.
Dans les villages situés sur la route de Tchernobyl, il y avait à certains endroits des bâtiments en brique, des panneaux avec le nom de la colonie et des fosses communes de soldats et d'officiers qui ont donné leur vie pour cette terre pendant la Grande Guerre patriotique.
Non, non, et une cabane blanche aux bordures bleues clignotera dans les fourrés luxuriants près de la route, vous rappelant qu'il y avait de la vie ici aussi.
La maison des Vishnevsky à Ilyintsy avait également des garnitures bleues. Maintenant, ils sont devenus blanchâtres. Mais le panneau avec l'adresse n'a pas disparu - le bâtiment 115 de la rue Lénine. Bien que la maison soit tombée en ruine, elle est toujours debout et revigorée. Le poêle est progressivement détruit sans l'attention du propriétaire, mais il est encore assez solide.
Il semble que l'hôtesse viendrait ici et rétablirait instantanément l'ordre, allumerait le feu, déplacerait la fonte avec du bortsch aromatique et riche dans un coin familier. Il y a la poignée, comme avant, debout dans le coin...
Mais la mère d’Alexandre Vishnevsky ne marche plus depuis plusieurs années. Il ne peut plus venir nettoyer la maison, saupoudrant de larmes les planchers grinçants familiers.
L'année dernière, la moitié du village a brûlé. Je ne sais pas qui a mis le feu... Mais notre maison a survécu », dit Alexandre.
Il a été préservé et rencontre son nouveau printemps sans ses propriétaires. Bientôt, la verdure luxuriante fleurira et, avec le silence, engloutira la vieille maison.
A moins que le tonnerre du début du printemps ne vous rappelle le rugissement qui frappa tout le monde alors, en 1986.

Tchernobyl, aujourd’hui en 2018, est une machine à remonter le temps qui renvoie les touristes 30 ans en arrière. Des rues propres et bien entretenues, des bordures peintes et des arbres blanchis à la chaux, la paix et la tranquillité - Tchernobyl peut désormais se vanter de tout cela.
Les touristes modernes qui ont réussi à se familiariser avec le sujet de la catastrophe de Tchernobyl et à lire des informations utiles, voire non confirmées, seront certainement intéressés par la question de savoir s'il y a des radiations à Tchernobyl.
Pour beaucoup, il semble surprenant de voir comment on peut vivre dans un endroit contaminé par des éléments dangereux. Cependant, si vous examinez cette question, tout ne s'avère pas si effrayant.
Immeubles d’appartements à Tchernobyl
Ainsi, la vie à Tchernobyl est désormais sûre, car le niveau de rayonnement gamma ne dépasse pas 0,2 à 0,3 microsieverts par heure. Des valeurs similaires sont notées à Kiev et elles sont tout à fait acceptables. En d’autres termes, le rayonnement de fond dans la zone de Tchernobyl est normal.
Dans le même temps, la population de la ville est quelque peu différente de celle des autres villes d’Ukraine. Les habitants de Tchernobyl sont aujourd’hui des colons autonomes qui sont rentrés chez eux malgré tous les risques et inconvénients. Il s’agit principalement de personnes d’âge moyen et âgées. Le nombre de colons autonomes à Tchernobyl, en 2017, était de 500 à 700 personnes.

Une fois sur place, vous aurez certainement un troisième (voire un quatrième, il y a eu des cas) bras, un deuxième nez, voire un œil. Vous ne me croyez pas ? Demandez aux Américains ! C’est exactement ainsi qu’ils présentent Tchernobyl dans la plupart de leurs films. Ce qui se passe réellement là-bas, a découvert Telegraph après avoir visité l'excursion.
Mythe n°1. Tchernobyl est une ville abandonnée
Peu importe comment c'est ! Environ 4 000 personnes y vivent désormais. Tous sont des employés de la ville. Ils vivent dans des appartements et des dortoirs abandonnés par les résidents locaux après la catastrophe. Tchernobyl a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vivre : des magasins, des cafés, des hôtels, un bureau de poste, un commissariat de police, des pompiers, un centre culturel et, surtout, de l'eau chaude toute l'année et du chauffage. Aujourd’hui, l’infrastructure de la ville ressemble à une petite ville ou à un centre régional. Ce que les employés n'ont pas vraiment, ce sont les loisirs. Par conséquent, il existe une loi dans la ville : l'alcool n'est consommé qu'après 19h00. Au fait, les routes ici... mmm, nous les aimerions à Krementchoug. Tout autour, c'est la propreté et l'ordre du musée : les bancs sont peints, les arbres et les bordures sont blanchis à la chaux, il n'y a pas de déchets.
Mythe n°2. Des hérissons de la taille d'un mammouth et des pommes de la taille d'une pastèque
Rencontrez Semyon le renard
Il y a une anecdote : le plantain de Tchernobyl guérit même les fractures ouvertes, mais avant cela, il faut le rattraper. Notre guide et employé à temps partiel de Tchernobyl, Yuri, a ri lorsque nous lui avons demandé si cela était vrai. Naturellement, tout cela est un mensonge, mais avec une petite part de vérité. Les poissons ici sont vraiment énormes, il est difficile de décrire avec des mots leur taille. Mais cela est loin d’être dû aux radiations. Tout simplement parce que personne ne l'attrape ici - parce que c'est interdit. De plus, elle n’a pas peur des gens. Il y a un pont juste à côté de la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl à partir duquel vous pouvez nourrir du pain pour les poissons (comme le poisson-chat à taille humaine). Un autre merveilleux résident local est Semyon le renard. Le renard apprivoisé qui a mangé mon dernier sandwich et l'a calmement pris de mes mains.
Mythe n°3. Quelles excursions ? Il y a des radiations là-bas !
Eh bien, eh bien… Il y a deux zones appelées « Tchernobyl ». 30 kilomètres et 10 kilomètres. Ainsi, dans les « trente », le niveau de rayonnement gamma est le même qu’à Kiev – environ 0,1-0,2 microsievert/heure (μSv/h) avec une norme acceptable de 0,3 μSv/h. Parfois, les objets métalliques génèrent du bruit. Dans le « dix », tout est un peu plus compliqué. Assez souvent, il y a 1,5 et 2 μSv/h. En outre, il existe des « endroits sales » où l'on peut capter 50 μSv/h avec un dosimètre. Une excursion d'une journée à Tchernobyl et Pripyat équivaut à un vol d'avion de 40 minutes en termes d'exposition.
Pripiat est triste
Quand nous sommes arrivés à Tchernobyl, nous avons d’abord été un peu contrariés. La ville la plus ordinaire, sans nouveaux bâtiments et avec une légère « odeur » d’URSS. Pripyat est une tout autre affaire. Ce n'est plus une ville, mais une véritable forêt. Une forêt dans laquelle des immeubles de grande hauteur ont poussé à la place des champignons. Pendant 30 ans, la nature a fait des ravages. Les arbres poussaient littéralement partout. Ici, nous roulons sur un chemin étroit, juste la largeur du bus, et le guide nous annonce qu'il s'agit de la rue principale de Pripyat. Tout est abandonné, volé, brisé et très triste. Non pas parce qu’il n’y a rien à faire, mais parce que c’est ici que se réalise ce que les habitants ont vécu. Des documents, de l'argent, des bijoux et un ensemble d'objets pour 3 jours - l'ensemble standard de tout résident évacué de Pripyat. Ils allaient partir pour 3 jours... La vie de ces gens est restée là où ils reviennent une fois par an - le 26 avril, jour anniversaire de la catastrophe. La ville a été construite à grande échelle. A cette époque, il y avait tout ce que votre cœur désirait, et de la meilleure des manières. En 1986, le parc d'attractions vient d'être achevé : un hippodrome, des bateaux, un carrousel et la célèbre grande roue. D’ailleurs, c’est la seule attraction qui a fonctionné au moins une fois. Le parc était censé ouvrir pendant les vacances de mai et le Jour de la Victoire en 1986. Mais cela n’est jamais arrivé. Le 27 avril 1986, au lendemain de la catastrophe, la grande roue est lancée pour la première et dernière fois. Pour quoi? Pour réduire la panique.
Stade de Pripyat. Cet endroit était autrefois un terrain de football, mais c'est désormais une véritable forêt.
Samosely. Chaque année, il y en a de moins en moins
Les auto-installés sont ces personnes qui, malgré toutes les interdictions, vivent dans une zone de 30 kilomètres. Ils ont tous plus de 80 ans. Ce sont des gens qui sont revenus vivre leur vie. En avril 2017, il y en avait 104. Ils ont des potagers et une voiture avec de la nourriture arrive deux fois par semaine, où ils peuvent acheter ce dont ils ont besoin. De plus, ils sont visités par des touristes qui ne repartent jamais les mains vides. Les habitants de Samosel leur offrent des concombres en conserve cultivés dans la zone d'exclusion et du clair de lune, également d'origine locale. Chaque année, il y a de moins en moins de ces personnes. Malgré leur choix de rester à la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl, beaucoup d’entre eux ont vécu longtemps.
« L’ampleur de la peur de l’URSS à l’égard des États-Unis »
C’est ce que notre guide a appelé le fameux « Arc ». L’expression n’est peut-être pas nouvelle, mais elle rend bien l’atmosphère de cet objet. Duga, en termes scientifiques, est une station radar soviétique à l'horizon destinée à un système de détection précoce des lancements de missiles balistiques intercontinentaux. En termes simples, les scientifiques ont construit un « colosse » avec lequel ils ont réussi à regarder à 3 000 kilomètres devant eux. Il s’agissait d’une installation top secrète située au cœur de la forêt. On y accède par une route parfaitement droite, longue d'un peu plus de 7 kilomètres, qui servait auparavant de piste d'atterrissage pour les petits avions militaires. Il existe deux installations à Tchernobyl (ou plutôt à l'installation de Tchernobyl-2). Une antenne haute fréquence mesure 100 mètres de haut et environ 250 mètres de long, l'autre est basse fréquence - jusqu'à 150 mètres de haut et 500 mètres de long. Il y avait des installations similaires à Nikolaev et à Komsomolsk-sur-Amour, mais toutes deux furent démantelées.
Nouveau sarcophage : seulement six mois
D'après ce qui se disait chaque année à l'école, il semblait toujours que ce même sarcophage était une immense arche construite immédiatement après la catastrophe au-dessus du réacteur. En fait, il a été « étiré » il y a seulement six mois, le 29 novembre 2016. « Shelter-2 » est son nom correct. La construction a duré près de 10 ans, malgré le fait que l'installation devait être mise en service en 2012-2013. La faute en est, comme toujours, à un financement insuffisant. Le premier « Shelter » a été construit en 206 jours, immédiatement après l'accident. En 2013, les dalles au-dessus de la salle des machines de la centrale se sont effondrées. En raison du danger de destruction du premier sarcophage, la construction s'est poursuivie plus activement. L'installation devrait être entièrement achevée en novembre 2017. Après cela, ils envisagent de commencer le démantèlement de l'ancien « abri » et des structures du réacteur lui-même.

Aujourd'hui, la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl ressemble à l'entreprise la plus ordinaire. Aussi belles que soient les usines de Krementchoug, dans la limite de leurs capacités, la zone autour de la centrale nucléaire est tout aussi belle. Pelouses soignées, bancs, monuments... N'ayant jamais vu de photographies sur Internet et ne sachant pas ce qui s'est passé il y a trente ans, je n'aurais jamais pensé qu'une catastrophe s'était produite ici. À propos, le sarcophage ne peut être photographié que sous un seul angle : depuis la plate-forme d’observation. Dans le cas contraire, la sécurité de la centrale nucléaire pourrait vous accueillir et simplement vous retirer votre matériel.
Poste de contrôle « Dytyatki » : placez-vous comme à la frontière avec la Pologne
Le poste de contrôle de Dytiatki peut être comparé aux douanes polonaises. Debout et debout. Peut-être avons-nous eu beaucoup de chance, mais nous sommes vraiment restés là pendant une heure. Pendant tout ce temps, nous faisions la queue dans des bus qui emmenaient également les gens en excursion. Une heure plus tard, nous étions en file d'attente et l'agent du poste de contrôle a passé en revue tout le monde, vérifiant leurs passeports par rapport à la liste. Vous ne pouvez pas simplement passer en voiture, le voyagiste soumet à l'avance les documents avec les coordonnées des participants à la visite. L'ensemble de la procédure de vérification des documents a duré environ cinq minutes. Nous sommes restés là pendant une heure. Je vous le dis, c'est une vraie douane. Sortir de la zone d’exclusion est beaucoup plus facile et plus rapide. A la frontière avec les « dix » et au poste de contrôle « Dityatki », chacun doit à nouveau passer par un cadre qui détermine si vous portez sur vous un petit « excès » de rayonnement. Selon les guides, il y a eu des cas où le cadre montrait que les vêtements d'une personne étaient « sales » (radioactifs). C'est arrivé aux « gars intelligents » qui grimpaient là où il était strictement interdit de marcher. Dans de tels cas, ils essaient d’abord de laver les vêtements. Si cela échoue, la pièce sale est simplement découpée. Si cela ne résout pas le problème, l’objet reste pour toujours dans la zone d’exclusion. Selon le guide, une semaine avant nous, un étranger s'est rendu pieds nus à Kiev, après avoir perdu ses baskets au poste de contrôle.
Le prix du plaisir
Il n'y a pas d'excursions depuis Krementchoug. Mais ils le transportent depuis Kyiv. Au minimum, un tel plaisir coûte 800 hryvnia (680 UAH pour l'excursion et 120 pour l'assurance). Il y a des excursions de 2-3 jours. Mais ils sont bien plus chers. Pour les résidents ukrainiens, les prix commencent à 89 dollars (environ 2 450 hryvnia). Pendant l'excursion de deux jours, les touristes séjournent dans un hôtel et sont nourris dans un café local. Mais il convient de noter que vous ne pourrez toujours pas vous promener la nuit dans Pripyat abandonnée. Il est interdit de se promener dans le quartier la nuit. Il y a des patrouilles partout. S’ils se font prendre, il y aura de gros problèmes.

Jardin d'enfants abandonné à Kopachi. L'un des deux bâtiments qui ont survécu à ce jour. Le village lui-même a été complètement enseveli sous terre en raison d’une grave pollution.
Sergei Sharshun, chef du département de radioprotection de la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl, est assis dans son salon et caresse un chat blanc. Il se souvient de ce qui s'est passé à la gare après l'accident aussi clairement que si cela s'était produit hier.
Dans la ville ukrainienne de Pripyat, abandonnée après l'accident de la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl, la nature a pris le pas sur le mode de vie humain. Les arbres brisaient l'asphalte, les rues étaient envahies par les mauvaises herbes. Mais aujourd'hui encore, on remarque à quel point la ville était confortable : le parc d'attractions est adjacent à la Maison de la Culture, les gens pouvaient nager dans la piscine et se détendre dans un café, les employés de la gare étaient emmenés au travail en bus.
Un moment en particulier est resté gravé dans ma mémoire. A cause des radiations, il était impossible de s'asseoir par terre ou d'y déposer des sacs. Mais quelques semaines plus tard, les employés de la gare se sont retrouvés dans la forêt :
"Je me souviens clairement pour le reste de ma vie de la façon dont j'ai alors fait un effort pour m'asseoir par terre." Mais quand je me suis assis, j'ai ressenti toute la beauté de la vie autour de moi.
Sergei Sharshun, chef du département de radioprotection de la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl, 57 ans, vivait à Pripyat avant l'accident
Comment les gens vivaient à Pripyat
Sergei Sharshun a travaillé pendant 35 ans à la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl. Il a débuté dans des postes de cols bleus, a été directeur adjoint et dirige aujourd'hui le département de radioprotection. Il a décidé de lier sa vie à l'énergie nucléaire après l'école et est entré à l'Institut polytechnique d'Odessa.
Après ses études, il a été affecté à la centrale nucléaire de Tchernobyl et est venu avec sa future épouse à Pripyat, la ville ukrainienne des scientifiques nucléaires. Il est situé à trois kilomètres de la gare.
Aujourd'hui, il n'y a personne dans cette ville, à l'exception des journalistes qui travaillent sur le matériel pour l'anniversaire de l'accident et des touristes. L’asphalte est à peine visible à travers les sentiers envahis par la végétation ; les arbres et les buissons sont devenus si grands qu’on ne peut pas croire qu’une personne ait vécu ici. De nombreuses maisons n’ont plus de panneaux indiquant les noms de rues.
Le parc d'attractions de Pripyat est abandonné
Près d'un magasin de meubles se trouvent plusieurs chaises, une table et une bouteille de whisky. On dit qu'il est de coutume que les anciens habitants de la ville se souviennent de leur jeunesse à leur arrivée. Bien que, selon les règles de séjour à Pripyat, vous n'êtes pas autorisé à boire, manger ou fumer.
Dans la Maison locale de la Culture, des affiches de propagande soviétique ont été conservées ; sur l'une des maisons se trouve une inscription : « Que l'atome soit un ouvrier et non un soldat ».
J'avais l'impression d'être dans un film apocalyptique sans aucune fin heureuse. Mais même au moment de l'accident de 1986, la ville comptait environ 49 000 habitants.
"Il y avait un café là-bas, puis il y avait le comité exécutif de la ville, et près de la route il y avait un portique fluvial", Sergueï Sharshun nous conduit à son ancienne maison. - Le travail était bon, la ville était convenable... La vie n'était pas vraiment une réussite, mais il y avait une bonne poussée. Beaucoup d'amis, de pairs.
Nous nous approchons de la maison - rue Geroev Stalingrada, 5, appartement 70. Sergei Sharshun se souvient comment on lui a donné un appartement de deux pièces au premier étage et un collègue - au neuvième. Mais il était bouleversé parce que sa femme avait les jambes faibles et que si quelque chose arrivait, il lui serait difficile de se relever. Sergueï Vladimirovitch a décidé de se balancer sans regarder.
C'était pratique de vivre à Pripyat. Sergei Sharshun répète cette phrase plusieurs fois. Le week-end, lui, sa femme et sa fille se rendaient à Kyiv ou à Tchernigov. Des bus s'y sont rendus et le bateau à moteur Raketa s'est rendu dans la capitale de l'Ukraine.
Les gens étaient pleins d'espoir en un avenir radieux, les salaires élevés à la gare leur permettaient de ne rien se priver et tout était disponible dans les magasins. Les employés de la station pensaient faire un travail utile. Le rêve d’une vie heureuse en Union soviétique s’est réalisé pendant un certain temps dans au moins une petite ville.

Que s'est-il passé à la gare après l'accident
Le 26 avril 1986, lorsque l'accident s'est produit à la gare, Sergei Sharshun avait un jour de congé. Le matin, avec sa famille et les proches de sa femme, venus de Moldavie, ils sont allés pique-niquer à la rivière. Alors que nous étions assis sur la plage, nous avons remarqué de la fumée provenant du quatrième groupe motopropulseur.
«J'ai compris que quelque chose s'était passé. Alors que nous rentrions chez nous, un des passants a dit qu'il y avait eu un accident dans le quartier. Nous sommes entrés dans l'entrée, où j'ai déjà parlé avec mes collègues. Ils ont dit que le réacteur s'était ouvert. Ma femme et moi sommes allés sur le balcon et avons regardé la lueur qui coulait sur le groupe motopropulseur », se souvient-il.
La première chose qu’ils ont faite alors a été de verser de l’iode dans l’eau et de la boire, d’enlever les tapis, de laver les sols et de fermer les fenêtres. Ils n'ont réalisé que quelque chose de grave s'était réellement produit la nuit, lorsque des hélicoptères ont commencé à survoler la station. Ils ne comprenaient pas quel était le niveau de rayonnement dans la ville, mais ils savaient que dans la zone de l'unité de puissance, une dose mortelle pouvait être reçue.

Le 27 avril, une évacuation a été annoncée dans la ville : ils ont franchi les entrées, ont demandé aux gens d'emporter avec eux des documents et des vêtements et de s'approcher du point de départ du bus. Les gens ont été emmenés dans des villages situés à 40 ou 50 kilomètres de la gare. Mais tout le monde était sûr de partir quelques jours, uniquement pour les vacances de mai.
Aujourd'hui, Sergueï Sharshun est convaincu qu'il aurait fallu immédiatement dire aux personnes qui auraient pu être touchées par l'accident de cesser de marcher dans les rues, de faire un nettoyage humide des appartements et des maisons, de suivre une prophylaxie à l'iode et d'attendre l'évacuation. Les autorités ne l'ont pas fait. Pourquoi? Peut-être que cela a été freiné par le fait que l'accident survenu en URSS pouvait être connu dans le monde entier et que, ne comprenant pas l'ampleur de ce qui s'était passé, ils voulaient éliminer les conséquences de la tragédie.
Sa famille a été évacuée et Sergueï Vladimirovitch lui-même s'est mis au travail dans la soirée du 27 avril. Il était ensuite l'ingénieur en chef de la troisième unité motrice.
Les bâtiments de la gare disposent de fenêtres panoramiques dans certains couloirs. Après l'accident, il a fallu les parcourir en traits serrés pour que le rayonnement n'ait pas le temps d'affecter le corps humain
— Il y avait beaucoup de militaires et d'autres étrangers au travail. Je travaillais alors au troisième bloc, mais ils n’étaient pas autorisés à l’atteindre à cause du niveau élevé de rayonnement. On nous a donné des instructions et on nous a donné un respirateur en forme de pétale et des gants. J'ai dû faire de petites courses, en me baissant, le long d'un couloir doté de fenêtres panoramiques pour me rendre au lieu de travail. J'ai donc atteint le troisième bloc. Ma tâche était de refroidir le réacteur. C'est ce que j'ai fait", dit-il.
Sergueï Vladimirovitch n'a remarqué aucune panique parmi ses collègues ce jour-là, mais certains ne sont pas venus travailler, puis ils ont été recherchés. Si un tel accident se produisait aujourd’hui, il est convaincu que beaucoup moins de personnes viendraient travailler.
«Nous avons eu une éducation différente.» Nous étions plus patriotes et nous nous disions : si ce n’est pas nous, alors qui ? Et c'est réel. Nous l’avons bien compris. D'une part, il était de notre devoir d'aller travailler et de minimiser les conséquences de l'accident, d'autre part, nous devions défendre l'honneur de la profession », explique Sergueï Sharshun.
L'ampleur de l'accident survenu, selon l'interlocuteur, était sans commune mesure avec les situations qu'ils perdaient.
À la deuxième unité de puissance aujourd'hui
— Il s'agissait d'un accident hors dimensionnement lors de l'ouverture du réacteur. Nous avons simulé des situations dans lesquelles les radiations ne quittent pas la station. De mon point de vue, l’accident s’est produit en raison d’un ensemble de circonstances improbables. Le réacteur a été démonté pour réparation et des tests ont été effectués auparavant. Nous avons décidé de vérifier combien de temps les succions chasseraient l'eau. Le réacteur était alors à puissance minimale. Quelque chose s'est mal passé et ça s'est arrêté. Ils ont donné l'ordre de l'amener à un certain niveau. Pour ce faire, ils ont retiré plus que le nombre autorisé de tiges d'absorption. Il y a eu une explosion», analyse-t-il.
Aujourd'hui, la centrale sert d'abri au réacteur qui a explosé
Il a ensuite été interdit aux employés de la gare de passer la nuit chez eux à Pripyat. Au début, ils vivaient dans un camp de pionniers, puis dans un autre, puis dans des cabanes sur des navires près de Kiev. Ils nous ont emmenés au travail en bus.
À l’automne 1986, la famille de Sharshun reçut un appartement de deux pièces à Kiev. Mais déjà en 1988, ils ont déménagé dans une nouvelle ville de scientifiques nucléaires à 60 kilomètres de la station - Slavutich. J'ai dû abandonner mon appartement dans la capitale.
Où les travailleurs du nucléaire ont-ils été réinstallés ?
Après l'accident de Tchernobyl, l'endroit où se trouve aujourd'hui Slavutich était considéré comme le site le plus optimal pour une ville pour les travailleurs nucléaires de Pripyat. La ville est séparée de la gare par deux barrières naturelles anti-radiations : les rivières. Vous pouvez vous rendre au travail à la gare en train.
Pour construire une ville, il fallait abattre la forêt. Toutes les républiques soviétiques ont participé à la construction. Les quartiers portent aujourd'hui les noms de leurs capitales et ont été construits dans le style de chacun des pays soviétiques.
La Biélorussie construisait le centre-ville de Slavutich. Par conséquent, visuellement, aujourd'hui, on ne peut pas la distinguer de la province biélorusse : un restaurant, le centre commercial de Minsk, le comité exécutif...
Svetlana, l'épouse de Sergei Sharshun, ne voulait pas déménager de Kiev à Slavutich. Mais la prise de conscience que le travail à la gare représentait une partie importante de la vie de mon mari l’a submergé. Certes, il y avait encore un point : leur famille avec un enfant s'est vu proposer un appartement de trois pièces avec deux toilettes dans le quartier de Riga. Mais ce n’était quand même pas le destin de s’y installer.
"Je voulais un appartement d'un côté, mais ils m'en ont donné un de l'autre." Ils ont donc refusé et ont attendu que des chalets soient mis à leur disposition », explique Svetlana en expliquant comment ils se sont retrouvés dans une maison de la rue Leningradskaya.

Aujourd'hui, environ 25 500 personnes vivent à Slavutich. Parmi eux, environ 2 600 travaillent à la gare. Un appartement d'une pièce coûte ici environ 12 000 dollars.
Les citadins ne s'inquiètent pas du niveau de rayonnement. Ils disent que même le dosimètre de la ville ne fonctionne pas toujours et n'affiche pas toujours quelque chose, mais ils sont habitués à la vie ici. Ils boivent même de l’eau du robinet, soulignant qu’elle provient d’un puits et qu’elle est absolument sans danger.
Ici, comme dans toutes les autres villes, le vendredi soir, les gens se détendent dans les cafés. Il y a un grand stade à Slavutich, des zones d'entraînement et de patinage, ainsi qu'une piste cyclable. Dans les rues de la ville, des panneaux publicitaires appellent les gens à rejoindre les rangs de la Garde nationale ukrainienne. La vie ordinaire dans un endroit tranquille de province, mais avec des conditions nettement plus confortables.
Que font-ils à la gare maintenant ?
Les travaux à la gare ne se sont pas arrêtés après l'accident. Jusqu'en 2006, l'électricité était produite et vendue ici. La station est maintenant mise hors service et pour la quatrième unité de puissance, ils construisent un abri en forme d'arc, communément appelé sarcophage. La gare devrait être fermée dans les années 2060.

Les ingénieurs électriciens se rendent au travail depuis Slavutich en train. Trois heures du matin, trois heures du soir. Il n'est pas nécessaire d'acheter des billets, le transport est réservé au personnel de la gare. Tout le monde se connaît déjà et sa place dans la voiture est attribuée par habitude. Les étrangers sont immédiatement identifiés.
Il est 7h20. Les gens se tiennent sur la plate-forme avec du café à la main. Sergei Sharshun voyage généralement dans la troisième voiture du train, qui part à 7h40.
En 40 minutes, nous parcourons la distance jusqu'à la gare ; environ 20 kilomètres de route traversent la Biélorussie. Les opérateurs mobiles biélorusses assurent une couverture sur cette partie de l'itinéraire.
La destination finale est la gare de Semikhody. Ici, on ne sort pas sur une plateforme à ciel ouvert, mais dans un pavillon au toit métallique qui mène à la centrale nucléaire.
Les gens passent des contrôles, puis des contrôles sanitaires, changent de vêtements et se rendent sur leur lieu de travail. Tout le monde a un dosimètre spécial sur le cou. Ses données sont traitées et déterminent quelle dose de rayonnement la personne a reçue.
Tout le monde à la station est soumis à une surveillance radiologique. S'il y a un niveau excessif de rayonnement, ils ne vous laisseront pas sortir tant que vous ne vous serez pas lavé les mains ou nettoyé vos chaussures, selon la cause du rayonnement.
Qu'est-ce qu'un poste employé ?
Bureau de Sergei Sharshun dans le bâtiment administratif. Il dirige le service de radioprotection, c'est-à-dire qu'il contrôle le niveau de rayonnement de la station. De son bureau à la quatrième centrale électrique, où l'accident s'est produit, 600 à 800 mètres.
"Je ne comprends pas la question de savoir de quoi je devrais avoir le plus peur après l'accident de la gare", s'étonne Sergueï Vladimirovitch. — Je sais à quoi m'attendre, ce n'est pas le premier jour que je travaille ici, mais 35 ans, excusez-moi. Tôt ou tard, les gens s'habituent à tout. Si vous avez peur, il vaut mieux partir d’ici, mais si vous restez, vivez au moins bien », est-il sûr.
Selon lui, un employé reçoit en moyenne 14 millisieverts de rayonnement par an, alors que la norme pour la station est de 20 millisieverts par an. Le rayonnement de fond normal est de 1 à 10 millisieverts par an.

— Nous contrôlons que les gens ne dépassent pas ce chiffre par an. Ils reçoivent 13 millisieverts de rayonnement externe et 1 millisievert de rayonnement interne. Une dose importante de rayonnement doit être convenue avec le ministère de la Santé et l'Inspection d'État, explique Sergueï Sharshun.
Il y a certaines zones de la gare où les gens ne peuvent entrer qu'en combinaison et chaussures blanches, avec des respirateurs et avec des permis spéciaux. Mais la majorité des employés portent des vêtements gris et des chaussures noires.
Sur le chemin de nombreux sites, vous devez vous soumettre à une surveillance radiologique. Vous vous tenez dans des cadres spéciaux et posez vos mains sur les boucliers, attendez quelques secondes. Si le voyant du tableau devient vert, allez-y, si le voyant devient rouge, rendez-vous chez le dosimétriste et déterminez où le rayonnement s'est accumulé. Si vos mains sont sales, vous devrez les laver.
À l'intérieur du bloc d'alimentation
Les mêmes cadres se trouvent à l'entrée de la salle à manger. Il y en a deux à la gare : régulière et diététique. Ils y dînent avec des cartes spéciales.
Sergei Sharshun considère les conditions de travail comme très confortables. Premièrement, ils vous transportent aller-retour au travail, et deuxièmement, vous avez droit à 50 jours de vacances, soit presque deux fois plus que d'habitude.
Le salaire à la gare est de sept à dix mille hryvnia (276−395 dollars). Les gens apprécient leur travail ici et craignent beaucoup que l'installation ne soit mise hors service. Ils plaisantent même en disant que plus ils travaillent lentement, plus cela viendra tard.
Malgré l'accident, Sergueï Vladimirovitch entretient une attitude positive à l'égard de l'énergie nucléaire. Il affirme que nombre de ses collègues travaillent déjà à la centrale nucléaire biélorusse en construction à Ostrovets. Et il considère que le fait que les Biélorusses aient une certaine crainte à l'égard de la centrale nucléaire est courant.
Au deuxième bloc d'alimentation
— Lorsque la centrale nucléaire de votre pays, en Biélorussie, entrera en service et si des écarts internes se produisent à plusieurs reprises, des rumeurs sur l'ampleur de la tragédie pourraient se répandre. Quelqu’un ne le supportera pas et dira : « Au diable, je vais changer de logement ». Et quelqu'un restera. C'est la vie normale. Avant l'accident, et maintenant, je suis fier de mon travail. C'est un métier sympa», dit-il.
Sergueï Vladimirovitch quitte son travail aujourd'hui vers seize heures de l'après-midi. Nous allons au train en bus, puis passons à nouveau le contrôle des radiations. Cette fois, les sacs sont également contrôlés pour détecter les radiations. Un feu vert apparaît sur le cadre - le chemin est libre.

Sur le chemin du retour, Sergueï Vladimirovitch montre sur son téléphone des photographies de ses deux filles et de son petit-fils. Nous parlons aussi des touristes qui se rendent à la gare - il y a un groupe de Polonais dans la voiture. Il y a des marécages devant la fenêtre... Et il semble que la vie continue comme d'habitude. La gare reste un monument à l'Union soviétique et à l'époque à laquelle elle a été construite.

Il est dommage que les ambitions des physiciens nucléaires, des éleveurs qui ont ouvert leur laboratoire près de la ville et les rêves des gens ordinaires ne se soient pas réalisés.
Trente ans se sont écoulés entre la ville de Pripyat et nos jours. Il s’agit d’une période assez longue au cours de laquelle beaucoup a déjà été fait. En particulier, le problème le plus important des scientifiques est aujourd'hui la réduction et la destruction des radiations dans la ville de Pripyat. Et nous voulons dire qu'ils ont obtenu d'excellents résultats, car seuls certains endroits de la ville de Pripyat connaissent actuellement une augmentation des niveaux de rayonnement.

On raconte que de nombreuses épouses n'ont pas pu savoir où se trouvait leur mari, qui n'était pas revenu du travail à la centrale nucléaire depuis la nuit. Désespérés, ils ont couru vers la gare, ils y ont vu des gens portant des masques et des respirateurs, mais personne ne leur a parlé de l'accident et du danger.
Les épouses ont retrouvé leurs maris dans les hôpitaux avec des doses de radiations des centaines de fois plus élevées. La plupart des victimes avaient la peau rouge à cause de l'exposition et sont décédées en quelques jours.
À Pripyat, le fond de rayonnement était supérieur à mille grays, car la valeur maximale des dosimètres destinés aux cas de rayonnement excessif était de 1 000 Gy. Tous les dosimètres étaient en panne et en panne, ce qui signifie que les niveaux de rayonnement à Pripyat étaient encore plus élevés. Par la suite, tous les gens ont été expulsés de la ville et les plantes et les animaux nous font encore peur.

Les pilleurs ont envahi la ville sans pitié et emporté tous les objets de valeur. C'était une chose quand ils volaient de la ferraille dans un hôtel abandonné ou en Polésie. Mais ce qui est complètement différent, c’est qu’ils ont envahi les appartements où vivaient les gens avec leurs familles et leurs valeurs familiales. Les pilleurs ont tout emporté et les habitants qui sont venus maintenant dans la ville de Pripyat sont tout simplement bouleversés jusqu'aux larmes.

Et les plantes ?
Les plantes de la ville de Pripyat ont aujourd'hui une teinte jaunâtre. Au fur et à mesure que les réactions évoluent, leurs structures permettent la production de substances résistantes aux radiations. Néanmoins, les scientifiques ne risquent pas à cent pour cent d'affirmer que ces plantes peuvent être consommées comme nourriture et recommandent de ne pas le faire.

La faune dans la « ville morte »
Les animaux de Pripyat intéressent surtout les scientifiques. Récemment, une activité anormale de certaines espèces animales a été enregistrée dans ces lieux. Les animaux de Pripyat sont enregistrés par des mini-caméras de surveillance spéciales. Ils sont installés en forêt sur des arbres et autres lieux, ainsi que directement en ville.
Les caméras sont réalisées sous forme de nichoirs afin de ne pas attirer inutilement l'attention des animaux. Ces pièges photographiques sont capables de filmer Pripyat la nuit grâce à la fonction de vision nocturne.

Les invités fréquents de Pripyat sont également des sangliers, des renards, des blaireaux et des cerfs.
Une cigogne noire avec un plumage blanc en dessous est considérée comme un spécimen précieux. Elle est considérée comme une espèce très rare, mais en zone d’exclusion.
Les poissons qui vivent dans le lac pour refroidir la centrale nucléaire attirent également beaucoup l'attention des visiteurs. Comme vous le savez, le niveau de rayonnement est hors du commun. L'augmentation des radiations a provoqué l'apparition de poissons-chats géants. Selon des témoins oculaires, les poissons de Tchernobyl atteignent 2 mètres de long.
