Uranus est la septième planète après le Soleil et la troisième plus grande. Il est intéressant de noter qu'Uranus, bien que de plus grand diamètre, a une masse plus petite que Neptune. Histoire de la découverte
Uranus, la première planète découverte en nouvelle histoire, a été découvert par hasard par V. Herschel alors qu'il regardait le ciel à travers un télescope le 13 mars 1781 ; au début, il crut que c'était une comète. Auparavant, comme il s'est avéré plus tard, la planète avait été observée à plusieurs reprises, mais elle avait été confondue avec une étoile ordinaire (la première mention d'une « étoile » a été faite en 1690, lorsque John Flamsteed l'a cataloguée comme le 34e Taureau - l'un des désignations acceptées pour les étoiles dans les constellations)
Herschel a nommé la planète « Georgium Sidus » (Planète de George) en l'honneur de son patron, le roi George III d'Angleterre ; d'autres l'appelaient la planète Herschel. Le nom « Uranus » a été donné temporairement et pris selon la tradition de la mythologie ancienne, et n'a été établi qu'en 1850.
Uranus n'a été visité que par un seul vaisseau spatial : Voyager 2 a volé près d'Uranus. (La photo ci-dessus a été prise depuis le télescope Hubble.) Le navire a dépassé 81 500 kilomètres d'Uranus le 24 janvier 1986. Voyager 2 a produit des milliers d'images et d'autres données scientifiques sur la planète, les lunes, les anneaux, l'atmosphère, l'espace et l'environnement magnétique entourant Uranus. Divers instruments ont étudié le système d'anneaux, découvrant petits détails précédemment connus et deux anneaux nouvellement découverts. Les données ont montré que la planète tourne sur une période de 17 heures et 14 minutes. Vaisseau spatial a également découvert une magnétosphère aussi grande qu’inhabituelle.
Caractéristiques de la rotation d'Uranus
Pour la plupart des planètes, l'axe de rotation est presque perpendiculaire au plan de l'écliptique (l'écliptique est la trajectoire annuelle apparente du Soleil sur la sphère céleste), mais l'axe d'Uranus est presque parallèle à ce plan. Composition chimique, conditions physiques et structure d'Uranus
L'uranium formé à partir de solides primordiaux et diverses glaces(par glace, il ne faut pas entendre ici seulement la glace d'eau), elle ne contient que 15 % d'hydrogène, et il n'y a presque pas d'hélium (contrairement à Jupiter et Saturne, qui sont principalement de l'hydrogène). Le méthane, l'acétylène et d'autres hydrocarbures existent en quantités significatives grandes quantités que sur Jupiter et Saturne. Les vents des latitudes moyennes sur Uranus déplacent les nuages dans les mêmes directions que sur Terre. Ces vents soufflent à des vitesses de 40 à 160 mètres par seconde ; sur Terre, les courants rapides dans l'atmosphère se déplacent à une vitesse d'environ 50 mètres par seconde
Une épaisse couche (brume) – le smog photochimique – se trouve autour du pôle éclairé par le soleil. L’hémisphère ensoleillé émet également davantage de rayonnement ultraviolet. Les instruments du Voyager ont détecté une bande en partie plus froide entre 15 et 40 degrés de latitude, où les températures sont 2 à 3 K plus froides.
La couleur bleue d'Uranus résulte de l'absorption de la lumière rouge par le méthane dans la haute atmosphère. Des nuages d’autres couleurs existent probablement, mais ils sont cachés aux observateurs par une couche sus-jacente de méthane. L'atmosphère d'Uranus (mais pas d'Uranus dans son ensemble !) est composée d'environ 83 % d'hydrogène, 15 % d'hélium et 2 % de méthane. Comme les autres planètes gazeuses, Uranus possède des bandes de nuages qui se déplacent très rapidement. Mais ils sont extrêmement difficiles à distinguer et ne sont visibles que sur les images haute résolution prises par Voyager 2. Des observations récentes du HST ont révélé de gros nuages. On suppose que cette possibilité est apparue en relation avec des effets saisonniers, car comme vous pouvez l'imaginer, l'hiver et l'été sur Uranus sont très différents : l'hémisphère entier se cache du Soleil pendant plusieurs années en hiver ! Cependant, Uranus reçoit 370 fois moins de chaleur du Soleil que la Terre, il n’y fait donc pas chaud non plus en été. De plus, Uranus n'émet pas plus de chaleur qu'elle n'en reçoit du Soleil, donc il fait froid à l'intérieur ?
De plus, il s'avère qu'Uranus n'a pas de noyau solide et que la matière est répartie plus ou moins uniformément dans tout le volume de la planète. Cela distingue Uranus (et Neptune également) de ses plus grands parents. Peut-être que cet épuisement des gaz légers est une conséquence de la masse insuffisante de l’embryon de la planète, et lors de sa formation, Uranus n’a pas été capable de retenir plus d’hydrogène et d’hélium près de lui. Ou peut-être qu'à cet endroit du système planétaire naissant, il n'y avait pas autant de gaz légers du tout, ce qui, bien sûr, nécessite également une explication. Anneaux d'Uranus
Comme les autres planètes gazeuses, Uranus possède des anneaux. Le système d'anneaux a été découvert en 1977 lors de l'occultation d'une étoile par Uranus. Il a été observé que l'étoile avait atténué sa luminosité pendant une courte période 5 fois avant et après l'occultation, ce qui suggérait des anneaux. Des observations ultérieures depuis la Terre ont montré qu'il existe effectivement neuf anneaux. Si vous les parcourez en vous éloignant de la planète, ils sont nommés 6, 5, 4, Alpha, Beta, Eta, Gamma, Delta et Epsilon. Les caméras du Voyager ont détecté plusieurs anneaux supplémentaires et ont également montré que les neuf anneaux principaux étaient enfouis dans une fine poussière. Comme les anneaux de Jupiter, ils sont très faibles, mais comme les anneaux de Saturne, les anneaux d'Uranus contiennent de nombreuses particules assez grosses, allant de 10 mètres de diamètre à de fines poussières. Les anneaux d'Uranus furent les premiers découverts après les anneaux de Saturne. Cela revêtait une grande importance, car il devenait possible de supposer que les anneaux constituaient une caractéristique générale des planètes et non le seul lot de Saturne. C’est une autre signification véritablement historique d’Uranus pour l’astronomie.
Les observations ont montré que les anneaux d'Uranus sont sensiblement différents de leurs systèmes frères de Jupiter et de Saturne. Bagues incomplètes avec divers indicateurs la transparence sur toute la longueur de chacun des anneaux semble s'être formée plus tard qu'Uranus lui-même, peut-être après la rupture de plusieurs satellites par les forces de marée
Le nombre d'anneaux connus pourrait éventuellement augmenter, sur la base des observations de Voyager 2. Les instruments ont indiqué la présence de nombreux anneaux étroits (ou éventuellement d'anneaux partiels ou d'arcs d'anneaux) d'environ 50 mètres de large.
Une clé pour démêler la structure des anneaux d'Uranus pourrait également être la découverte que deux petits satellites - Cordelia et Ophelia - sont situés à l'intérieur de l'anneau Epsilon. Ceci explique la répartition inégale des particules dans l'anneau : les satellites retiennent la matière autour d'eux. Ainsi, en utilisant cette théorie, on suppose que 16 (!) satellites supplémentaires peuvent être trouvés dans cet anneau.
Magnétosphère
La région autour d'un corps céleste où son champ magnétique reste plus fort que la somme de tous les autres champs des corps proches et distants est appelée la magnétosphère de ce corps céleste.
Uranus, comme de nombreuses planètes, possède une magnétosphère. Il est inhabituel que son axe de symétrie soit incliné de près de 60 degrés par rapport à l'axe de rotation (pour la Terre, cet angle est de 12 degrés). Si tel était le cas sur Terre, alors l'orientation à l'aide d'une boussole aurait fonctionnalité intéressante: la flèche ne pointerait presque jamais vers le nord ou le sud, mais serait dirigée vers deux points opposés du 30e parallèle. Il est probable que le champ magnétique autour de la planète soit généré par des mouvements dans les régions relativement superficielles d’Uranus, et non par son noyau. La source du champ est inconnue ; l’hypothétique océan d’eau et d’ammoniac électriquement conducteur n’a pas été confirmé par la recherche. Tant sur Terre que sur d'autres planètes, la source du champ magnétique est considérée comme constituée de courants dans les roches redressées situées à proximité du noyau.

Lunes d'Uranus
Uranus en a 17 satellites connus. Jusqu'à récemment, ils étaient au nombre de 15. Ils formaient deux classes distinctes :
10 petits intérieurs, très faible luminosité, découverts par Voyager 2, et 5 grands extérieurs. Tous les 15 ont des orbites presque circulaires dans le plan de l’équateur d’Uranus (et forment donc un angle élevé par rapport au plan de l’écliptique). En 1997, à l'aide du télescope Palomar de 5 mètres, un groupe de scientifiques canadiens a découvert deux autres satellites minuscules et faiblement brillants. Une combinaison d'images du télescope Hubble montre le mouvement des lunes d'Uranus au fil du temps. Il n'est pas difficile d'en distinguer la nature mouvement visible du déplacement des étoiles tombant dans le champ de vision

Les images du Voyager des cinq plus grandes lunes déjà découvertes révèlent des surfaces complexes qui caractérisent le passé géologique turbulent de ces corps cosmiques. Les caméras ont également trouvé 10 satellites jusque-là inconnus
Une analyse préliminaire montre que les cinq grands satellites sont un ensemble de blocs de glace. Les grands satellites d'Uranus sont constitués à 50 pour cent de glace d'eau, à 20 pour cent de composés de carbone et d'azote et à 30 pour cent de divers composés de silicium - des silicates. Leurs surfaces, d'un gris foncé presque monotone, portent des traces de l'histoire géologique

Uranus a la plus grande distance variable du Soleil. En effet, la distance varie entre 2 735 118 110 km et 3 006 224 700 km. Avec une distance moyenne de 3 milliards de km, un passage orbital prend 84 ans.
La rotation de l'axe dure 17 heures et 14 minutes (c'est la durée d'une journée sur Uranus). Visible dans la couche atmosphérique supérieure vent fort dans le sens de rotation. À certaines latitudes, les masses se déplacent plus rapidement et effectuent une révolution en 14 heures.

Composition et surface de la planète Uranus
La structure planétaire est représentée par trois couches : un noyau rocheux, un manteau glacé et une enveloppe externe d'hydrogène (83 %) et d'hélium (15 %) à l'état gazeux. Le manteau de glace est représenté par un liquide chaud et dense contenant de l'eau, de l'ammoniac et d'autres substances volatiles. Le liquide (océan eau-ammoniac) se caractérise par une conductivité électrique élevée.
La masse du noyau n'atteint que 0,55 de celle de la Terre et son rayon représente 20 % de la taille totale de la planète. Le manteau représente 13,4 masses terrestres et la couche atmosphérique supérieure 0,5 masse terrestre.
La densité du noyau est de 9 g/cm3, la pression au centre s'élève à 8 millions de bars et la température est de 5 000 K.
Lunes de la planète Uranus
La famille se compose de 27 lunes connues d'Uranus, divisées en grandes, internes et irrégulières. Les plus grandes sont Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Oberon et Titania. Leur diamètre dépasse 472 km, et leur masse est de 6,7 x 10 19 kg pour Miranda, ainsi que de 1578 km et 3,5 x 10 21 kg pour Titania.
On pense que toutes les grandes lunes sont apparues dans le disque d'accrétion, qui était présent autour de la planète même pendant longtemps dès le moment de sa formation. Chacune est représentée par un rapport presque égal de roche et de glace. La seule particularité est Miranda, qui est presque entièrement faite de glace.
Vous pouvez également noter la présence d'ammoniac, de dioxyde de carbone et de roches - matières carbonées et composés organiques. Il y a 13 lunes intérieures : Cordélia, Ophélie, Biyanka, Cressida, Desdémone, Juliette, Portia, Rosalinde, Cupidon, Belinda, Perdita, Puck et Mab. Les satellites intérieurs ont un lien étroit avec le système d’anneaux de la planète. Avec un diamètre de 162 km, Pak est considérée comme la plus grande lune de ce groupe et la seule dont l'image a été capturée par Voyager 2.
Ils apparaissent tous comme des corps sombres. Formé à partir de glace d'eau avec du noir matière organique. Le système est instable et les modèles indiquent qu'une collision pourrait se produire. Desdemona et Cressida sont particulièrement préoccupantes.
Il existe 9 satellites irréguliers dont l'orbite est plus éloignée qu'Obéron. Ils ont été capturés après la formation de la planète elle-même : Francisco, Caliban, Stefano, Trinculo, Sycorax, Margarita, Prospero, Setebos et Ferdinand. Ils parcourent 18 à 150 km. Tout le monde tourne dans un sens rétrograde, sauf Margarita.
Atmosphère et température de la planète Uranus
L'atmosphère d'Uranus est également divisée en couches déterminées par la température et la pression. C'est une géante gazeuse et n'a donc pas de surface solide. Les sondes distantes peuvent descendre jusqu'à 300 km de profondeur.
On distingue la troposphère (300 km sous la surface et 50 km au-dessus avec une pression de 100-0,1 bar) et la stratosphère (50-4000 km et 0,1-10 10 bar).
La couche la plus dense est la troposphère, où le réchauffement atteint 46,85°C et descend jusqu'à -220°C. La région supérieure est considérée comme la plus glaciale du système. La plupart des rayons IR sont créés dans la tropopause.
Ici, il y a des nuages : de l'eau, en dessous se trouvent de l'ammoniac et du sulfure d'hydrogène, et au-dessus se trouvent de minces nuages de méthane. Dans la stratosphère, la température varie de -220°C à 557°C, ce qui entraîne rayonnement solaire. Cette couche est marquée par le smog d'éthane, qui crée apparence planètes. Il y a de l'acétylène et du méthane qui chauffent cette boule.
La thermosphère et la couronne couvrent 4 000 à 50 000 km à partir du point « surface », où la température reste à 577°C. Jusqu'à présent, personne ne sait exactement comment la planète parvient à se réchauffer autant, car elle est loin du Soleil et chaleur interne pas assez.
Le temps rappelle les anciennes géantes gazeuses. Il y a des rayures qui gravitent autour de la planète. En conséquence, les vents s’accélèrent jusqu’à 900 km/h, provoquant des tempêtes de grande ampleur. En 2012, le télescope Hubble a remarqué tache sombre- un vortex géant s'étendant sur 1700 km x 3000 km.
Anneaux de la planète Uranus
Les anneaux de la planète Uranus sont constitués de particules sombres dont la taille varie d'un micromètre à une fraction de mètre, ils ne sont donc pas si faciles à voir. Nous pouvons désormais identifier 13 anneaux, parmi lesquels le plus brillant est Epsilon. Hormis deux étroites, elles s'étendent sur plusieurs kilomètres de largeur.
Les anneaux sont jeunes et formés après la planète elle-même. On pense qu’ils font partie d’une lune détruite (ou de plusieurs). L'une des premières observations d'anneaux a été réalisée par James Elliott, Jessica Mink et Edward Dunham en 1977. Lors de l'éclipse de l'étoile HD 128598, ils ont découvert 5 formations.
Les anneaux sont également apparus sur des photographies prises par Voyager 2 en 1986. Et de nouveaux ont été découverts par le télescope Hubble en 2005. Le plus grand est deux fois plus large que la planète. En 2006, l'Observatoire Keck a montré les anneaux en couleur : les anneaux extérieurs sont bleus et les anneaux intérieurs sont rouges. Le reste apparaît gris.

C'est la septième planète la plus éloignée du Soleil. C'est le troisième en diamètre, il fait 50 724 km. Fait intéressant, Uranus a un diamètre de 1 840 km plus grand que Neptune, mais Uranus est moins massif, ce qui le place à la quatrième place parmi les poids lourds du système solaire.

Découverte d'Uranus
Parce qu'elle peut être vue dans le ciel sans instruments optiques, Uranus a souvent été confondue avec une étoile sombre. Avant de déterminer qu’il s’agissait d’une planète, elle a été observée 21 fois dans le ciel. John Flamseed fut le premier à le remarquer en 1690, en l'indiquant comme l'étoile numéro 34 dans la constellation du Taureau.
William Herschel est considéré comme le découvreur d'Uranus. Le 13 mars 1781, il observa les étoiles avec un télescope artificiel, suggérant qu'Uranus était une comète ou une étoile nébuleuse. Dans ses lettres, il a souligné à plusieurs reprises que le 13 mars, il avait vu une comète.

Composition et caractéristiques
Uranus est 14,5 fois plus grande que la Terre. La planète la plus froide du système solaire n’a pas la surface solide à laquelle nous sommes habitués. On suppose qu’il s’agit d’un noyau rocheux solide recouvert d’une coquille de glace. Et la couche supérieure est l’atmosphère.
La coquille glacée d'Uranus n'est pas solide. Il est composé d'eau, de méthane et d'ammoniac et représente environ 60 % de la planète. En raison de l'absence de couche solide, des difficultés surviennent lors de la détermination de l'atmosphère. Par conséquent, la couche de gaz externe est considérée comme l'atmosphère.
Cette coquille de la planète a une couleur vert bleuâtre en raison de sa teneur en méthane, qui absorbe les rayons rouges. Il n'est que de 2% sur Uranus. Les autres gaz entrant dans la composition atmosphérique sont l'hélium (15 %) et l'hydrogène (83 %).
Comme Saturne, la planète la plus froide possède des anneaux. Ils ont été formés relativement récemment. On suppose qu'ils étaient autrefois un satellite d'Uranus, qui s'est divisé en de nombreuses petites particules. Mouvement orbital
La planète la plus froide du système solaire se trouve à 2,8 milliards de kilomètres de la Terre. Avec un changement d'heure aussi long, on a supposé que la différence de température devait être assez importante. Cependant, l’endroit le plus chaud d’Uranus est l’équateur, pas les pôles (même ceux éclairés par le Soleil).
Climat d’Uranus
Comme déjà mentionné, Uranus est la planète la plus froide, même si Neptune et Pluton sont situées beaucoup plus loin du Soleil. Sa température la plus basse atteint -224 degrés en moyenne
Les chercheurs ont remarqué qu'Uranus se caractérise par des changements saisonniers. En 2006, la formation d'un vortex atmosphérique sur Uranus a été constatée et photographiée. Les scientifiques commencent tout juste à étudier les changements de saisons sur la planète.
On sait que des nuages et du vent existent sur Uranus. À mesure que l’on s’approche des pôles, la vitesse du vent diminue. La vitesse du vent la plus élevée sur la planète était d'environ 240 m/s. En 2004, de mars à mai, un changement radical des conditions météorologiques a été enregistré : la vitesse du vent a augmenté, des orages ont commencé et les nuages sont apparus beaucoup plus souvent.
Il y a les saisons suivantes sur la planète : sud solstice d'été, printemps du nord, équinoxe et solstice d'été du nord.
Magnétosphère et recherche planétaire
Le seul vaisseau spatial qui a réussi à atteindre Uranus est Voyager 2. Il a été lancé par la NASA en 1977 spécifiquement pour explorer les planètes lointaines de notre système solaire.
Voyager 2 a réussi à découvrir de nouveaux anneaux d'Uranus auparavant invisibles, à étudier sa structure et également conditions météorologiques. Jusqu'à présent, de nombreux faits connus sur cette planète sont basés sur des données obtenues à partir de cet appareil.
Voyager 2 a également découvert que la planète la plus froide possède une magnétosphère. Il a été noté que le champ magnétique de la planète ne provient pas de son centre géométrique. Il est incliné de 59 degrés par rapport à l'axe de rotation.
De telles données indiquent que le champ magnétique d’Uranus est asymétrique, contrairement à celui de la Terre. On suppose qu'il s'agit d'une caractéristique des planètes glacées, puisque la deuxième géante glacée - Neptune - possède également un champ magnétique asymétrique.
